Se usa cuando la pregunta es personal, queremos ser educados/discretos o estamos comenzando una conversación con alguien que no conocemos.
Direct...: How old are you?
Indirect: Can I ask you how old you are?
El orden de las palabras es el mismo que en las oraciones: sujeto + verbo. En Wh- questions usamos la misma palabra con la que formulamos la pregunta. En Yes/No questions usamos if o whether.
