Usamos have + object + past participle para decir que alguien ha hecho algo por nosotros. El past participle tiene un significado pasivo (passive meaning).
Jackie had her jacket cleaned at the dry cleaner's.
(She didn't clean it herself).
Preguntas y negaciones del verbo have son formados con do/does (present simple) o did (past simple).
También usamos have something done para hablar sobre una experiencia desagradable que alguien tuvo.
(his mobile phone was stolen).
Podemos usar el verbo get en lugar de have en una conversación informal.
(She didn't clean it herself).
Nota: El orden de las palabras es muy importante. Tony had his car repaired y Tony had repaired his car tienen significados diferentes. En la primera Tony quedó con alguien para que éste reparase el coche mientras que en la segunda el mismo Tony reparó el coche.
